Acceptable Use Policy

Aperture may be used solely for legitimate business purposes related to conducting interviews, evaluating candidates, and managing hiring workflows.
Users may only use the Services in compliance with:
- Applicable laws and regulations;
- Employment and anti-discrimination laws;
- Data protection and privacy laws;
- This Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms of Service.
3. Prohibited Activities
Users may not use the Services to:
3.1 Illegal or Harmful Activities
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Conduct fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activities;
- Harass, threaten, or harm individuals;
- Collect or process personal data unlawfully;
- Conduct surveillance or monitoring unrelated to legitimate hiring purposes.
3.2 Misuse of Interview and Candidate Data
Users may not:
- Upload or process data without lawful authorization;
- Upload government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal data not required for hiring purposes;
- Use the Services to evaluate individuals for unlawful or discriminatory purposes;
- Use interview recordings for purposes unrelated to recruitment or evaluation without appropriate consent.
3.3 AI Misuse
Users may not:
- Rely solely on AI-generated outputs for employment decisions without human review;
- Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or intentionally bias AI outputs;
- Use the Services to create automated decision-making systems outside the intended hiring context;
- Use AI outputs to profile or categorize individuals for unrelated purposes.
3.4 System Abuse and Security Violations
Users may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data;
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Services;
- Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code;
- Perform denial-of-service or similar attacks;
- Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities without authorization.
3.5 Data Extraction and Competitive Use
Users may not:
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Services;
- Use automated tools to collect platform data;
- Reverse engineer or attempt to discover underlying models or algorithms;
- Use the Services to develop or train competing products or services.
3.6 Abuse of Platform Resources
Users may not:
- Use the Services in a way that creates excessive load or degrades performance;
- Misuse demo environments or evaluation features;
- Resell or sublicense access without authorization.
4. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring they have the legal right to upload and process candidate data;
- Informing candidates when AI-assisted interviews are used;
- Maintaining secure access to their accounts;
- Ensuring internal users comply with this policy.
5. Enforcement
Aperture reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- Investigate suspected violations;
- Suspend or restrict access to the Services;
- Remove or disable content;
- Terminate accounts;
- Report unlawful activity to authorities where required.
Aperture is not obligated to provide advance notice before taking action where necessary to protect the Services or other users.
